Maragogipe, also known as elephant bean, is an arabica variety that produces exceptionally large and porous beans. Originally discovered near Maragogipe in Bahia, it has been successfully transplanted into Andres Londono farm, thriving at altitudes of 1750 to 1810 MASL, which brings out its unique characteristics. Renowned for its tropical fruit and savoury spice flavours, it offers a delightful combination of caramel-like sweetness and a rich body, creating an explosion of flavours on the palate. This Maragogipe coffee is processed as yellow honey, with short fermentations to enhance its natural characteristics and flavours.
